HiG automated centrifugation

Your workflow. Without the manual handoff.

With robotic plate handling, HiG keeps the spin step in your automated workflow, so your team spends less time moving plates and more time on the science.

See it in action

A real handoff.
A connected workflow.

Watch a robot reach into HiG in this short trade-show demonstration. See the access in motion, then talk through the layout for your instruments and labware.

10-second silent clip: a robot arm approaches the open HiG, reaches into the access area and withdraws.

Where it fits

Built for the spin steps in your method.

Explore where automated centrifugation fits your method, then confirm the model and labware for your protocol.

Sample preparation

Spin plates between transfers in extraction and purification methods, so the run moves to the next step without a manual carry.

Sample preparation workflow

Filtration

Run filter-plate assemblies and deep-well blocks through the spin step inside the automated method, on SBS labware up to 61 mm tall.

Discuss your labware

Cell pellets

Pellet cells in plates and return them to the liquid handler, keeping time-sensitive cell work connected to the next step.

The evidence

Why the spin step can stay in the run.

Each point sits next to the published specification behind it. The full table is further down.

01

Remove the manual transfer.

Your robot loads and unloads the buckets directly, so the spin step stays inside the automated run instead of waiting for someone to move plates. That means less intermediate handling between liquid handling and the next step.

Evidence
  • Access Direct robotic loading
  • Rotor 2 buckets
  • Control USB 2.0, standalone app, .NET interface for integrations
02

Handle uneven loads.

Unequal plates do not have to stop the run. Imbalance is evaluated before and during operation: within the rated tolerance the run continues, and outside acceptable limits HiG stops safely.

Evidence
  • Imbalance tolerance Up to 100 g between buckets (HiG3); 50 g (HiG4)
  • Monitoring Before and during operation, with a safe stop outside acceptable limits
03

Fit the labware and system you already run.

Spin SBS plates and supported assemblies, including deep-well blocks and filter-plate assemblies, in the workflow you have. Tell us your liquid handler and scheduler and we will map the driver, deck position and gripper access.

Reach the force your protocol needs.

Choose the model for your separation, pelleting or filtration step, and configure spin profiles around your application and labware. HiG supports sample preparation, filtration and cell-pellet workflows.

  • HiG4 Up to 4,000 × g, Peltier cooling to ambient
  • Applications Separations, pelletizing, DNA purification, filtrations and bubble removal
Accurate well layouts: a 96-well plate has 8 rows by 12 columns; a 384-well plate has 16 rows by 24 columns. Schematic top views.
Your labware. Your method.

More than one kind of plate.

From shallow microplates to deep-well blocks and filter-plate assemblies, the spin step starts with what your samples need.

HiG accepts supported SBS labware up to 61 mm tall, with a payload of up to 350 g per bucket. For a filter and collection plate, check the height and loaded weight of the complete assembly.
